New book review: The Only One Left by Riley Sager
Summary:
“Leonora Hope hung her sister with a rope……” the rhyme repeated itself as Kit grew up in her small town on the coast of Maine. Kit takes on a new job as Leonora’s nurse in her elaborate mansion on the coast after her former nurse quit in the middle of the night. Kit needs this job and Leonora needs a nurse since she does not and has not left her house in years.
One night Leonora tells Kit it wasn’t her that killed her family. What is the truth?
My Thoughts:
I absolutely loved this one!! I was not the biggest fan of The House Across the Lake despite liking all of Sager’s former books, but this one totally blew me away! Riley Sager is back in my eyes!!
The setting, descriptions, and characterization is on point in this thriller. It brought me back to why I fell in love with Sager’s books.
I definitely recommend this one!
