From the title, I knew this was going to be a book that was difficult to read since it would be about missing children. What I didn’t know was how engaged and emotional I would get about this book. I finished this book in less than 24 hours-there were many disturbing parts in the story that made me ill to my stomach. The language was beautiful and descriptive. Rene Denefeld has a gift with her writing. I wept at the end of the novel both happy and sad tears. This is definitely a great novel, but, be warned, there is difficult and disturbing material regarding missing and kidnapped children. I am hoping for a follow up book to follow Naomi’s personal journey.

I gave this a 5/5 on Goodreads.
