My husband and I try to head to Bedford, Pa to Omni Bedford Springs Resort once a year. It is under 2 hours from Pittsburgh and an easy drive down the PA turnpike to the Bedford exit.
Bedford is a quaint historical town with lots of eclectic shops and restaurants. When we have been here in the past, we always stayed at the resort the entire time. This year we decided to venture off of the resort and head into town our first night.
A friend of ours recommended 10/09 kitchen in downtown Bedford. It was fantastic! I had a wonderful seared scallop and risotto dinner that had the largest scallops I’ve had in years!
We walked across the street to the Briar Valley Winery. Since it was the first Friday of the month, they had a small band for the evening. The wine was good, and it was nice to chat with some locals
.
The next day the guys went golfing and the girls headed to the pool for some sunshine, food, and drinks. The staff at the pool is just fantastic! They are so friendly and interact with all of the guests.
For dinner we went to the 1796 Room in the hotel. This is the second time we have eaten here. The steaks and seafood are fabulous!
After dinner, we headed outside to the nightly fire where the hotel supplies the ingredients for smores.
The next morning we went to Tillie’s at the Clubhouse which is open 8am-11PM on Saturday and Sunday and 11am-9PM on weekdays. I had an amazing avocado toast breakfast.

I highly recommend a weekend at Omni Bedford Springs if you’ve never traveled there! It is perfect for couples, friends, or family!
Nice photos! Thank you for sharing!
