Summary:
Kristen and Emily are best friends and go on an annual vacation together. The last night of the trip to Chile, Emily enters the room to find that Kristen has killed a backpacker in self defense. It brings back a sense of deja vu because last year, Emily killed someone who had attacked her. Can this really happen twice?
Once Emily arrives home, she struggles with the emotions regarding this happening twice.
As Emily tries to deal with her feelings, Kristen shows up from living a continent away. Emily begins to question everything she thought she believed about her friendship.
My Thoughts:
This book was one of my top books of 2021. I was gripped to this storyline until the very end, and I really questioned which character to believe throughout the novel! I definitely recommend this book if you like twisty thrillers!
