Book review: The Lodge by Sue Watson

Summary:

Fiona is invited to her former mother in law’s 75th birthday weekend at a remote lodge. It is an interesting gathering considering she also invited her son and his new wife and child. Fiona’s teenagers to her ex-husband are attending as well. Adding to the mix, a professional chef who also has connections to most of the characters shows up to be their cook for the weekend! What a mix of people!

As the guests gather the first night, they find out there was a man killed and found on the side of the road near the lodge during the snowstorm that started that evening.

My Thoughts:

Sue Watson has never disappointed me! I love her books, and this one is a great one to read on a winter weekend.

The book is told in alternating narrators mostly Fiona and Danni, the new wife, although a few others are filtered in. I love a good domestic drama with unreliable narrators! Mix in a murder, and I’m sold!
