Book Review: The Girls in the Garden by Lisa Jewell

book1

The Girls in the Garden was intriguing and shocking! This book is a hard book to read if you have a teenager. It will make you second guess your teenager’s stories, thoughts, and intentions. It gives you a glimpse into the minds of teens and their activities.

The characters live in a communal garden square in London where the neighbors are friendly with each other and are in and out of each other’s homes. There is a false sense of security and safety in this area until a 13 year old girls is found unconscious in the garden. The novel unfolds many secrets with the characters to develop the resolution to what happened to her and who was responsible.

Highly recommend this dark and dramatic mystery.
