This novel begins with the police interrogation of Angela Pettijean asking about the disappearance of Saskia Parker, who is the wife of her high school sweetheart. The novel shifts to Angela’s narrative of the past and describes how she fell in love with HP, and she describes their love story to the detective. Their romance ended when they had a long distance romance and eventually HP ended up with Saskia.
The setting shifts back and forth between Angela’s interrogation to her description of the past. By the end, the reader will have all of the questions answered.
My thoughts:
It was a very twisted and complex love triangle between Angela, Saskia, and HP. Most of the characters are not likable at all. The ending was a bit rushed, and I was hoping for a little more info. It was written well, and I definitely would read another book by Roz Nay considering that this was her debut novel. It was a quick read; I finished it in 2 days.
I was between a 3-4 stars, but I ended up giving it 4 stars after thinking about it for awhile.
