Book review: The Waiting Room by Emily Bleeker

Summary:

Ever since Veronica’s husband died shortly after the birth of her baby, she has suffered from postpartum depression. Veronica cannot even touch her baby. Veronica’s mother has moved in with her to help her. Veronica comes home to an empty house with a missing baby and mother. Veronica becomes involved in an investigation looking for her baby and her mother with a friend she met through her counselor.

My Thoughts:

I bought this for $1.99 on Amazon Kindle Deals, which I get emailed to me every day. I added on the Audible for another $1.99 and then I couldn’t stop listening!! This totally surprised me with the twists and turns that came at the end. I was shocked at the way it ended up. It is extremely tragic and not something that anyone that has experienced any element of losing a child or being in a situation with the loss of a young child as a friend or family member. That being said, I thought it was very well written and captivating, although it really ripped out my heart.

I gave it a 5/5 stars on Goodreads.
