Book review: Bitter Falls (Stillhouse Lake #4) by Rachel Caine

Summary:

The Stillhouse Lake series is still one of my favorite series ever. I finished the first two books in about 3 days.

Gwen Proctor has survived being married to a serial killer, having her life and her kids threatened, and ultimately killing her ex-husband. Gwen is now working as an investigator, and she is working on a case about a missing young man, Remy Landry, that has gone cold. Gwen has a soft spot for his mother who cannot let her son go. As Gwen’s leads twist and turn, she gets closer and closer to danger.

My Thoughts:

I love this series. Wolfhunter River was one of my least favorite of the series, but Bitter Falls brought back the spark in this series!

Gwen Proctor is the ultimate fierce female lead! She finds herself in the quest to find where a dangerous cult has stationed. This actually was the third book I’ve read in the last 3 months about cults (The Family Upstairs and When She Returned), so I think I’m done with cult books for awhile! I love Gwen Proctor though, so I am still hooked!
