Summary:
A group of friends from Oxford decide to spend New Year’s Eve together in the woods at Scottish Highlands. This group has been spending the holiday together for several years, but they decided to rent cabins at a hunting lodge this year. Shortly after arriving, a blizzard covers the area. The trip begins with champagne by the fire and ends with one of the guests murdered. The killer can only be one of those around them.
My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this mystery. There were many red herrings throughout the mystery to keep the reader guessing on who is to blame for the murder. The narration shifts between characters from the members of the party and also includes Doug and Heather, who are employees of Scottish Highlands. There are many twists and turns along with some unreliable information from some of the narrators. This is a great mystery to read that will keep you guessing!
