Summary:
A family reunion of the Darker family the weekend of Halloween for Nana’s 80th birthday couldn’t end well could it?
Daisy joins her family for a weekend on a small island to celebrate their Nana’s 80th birthday. The Darker family is the epitome of a dysfunctional family. Flashbacks to Daisy’s childhood are folded into this closed door mystery.
My Thoughts:
I have been hit or miss with Alice Feeney’s books, although she does have a strong following of fans.
Feeney created an amazing setting of this mysterious house on an island that just held the family that has come together for the party. The horrific events that unfold during the party are quite awful, and the reader must try to figure out which guest is committing these murders.
It is a good mystery to read if you like a mystery where one must determine a suspect based on past events and clues. I read this the weekend of Halloween, so the setting was perfect for me.
I gave this a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
