I receved The Map That Leads to You by JP Monninger as an Advance Reader Edition from St. Martin’s Press.
I don’t read romance books that often, but I am really glad I had to opportunity to read this book.
It is a beautifully written book that takes place right after college graduation and follows three friends on their trip through Europe. I visited Europe twice as a student, so I was drawn to the detail of the European culture, landscape, and people. The book is well written and captures the main character, Heather, and her romance with Jack, who she meets in Amsterdam right at the beginning of their journey. Heather’s special friendship with Constance and Amy is illustrated well by Mollinger.
The book reminded me a bit of the movie Before Sunrise from the 1990s as well with Ethan Hawke, when he meets a girl on a train in Europe. This is based on the same introduction between two lovers.
Once I read the book, I really understood the significance of the title and the connection between Jack and Heather.
I gave this 4/5 stars on Goodreads.
