Lies You Never Told me is a young adult novel that changes perspective between two teens-Elyse and Gabe. Elyse has been cast as the lead of Juliet in their high school production of Romeo and Juliet. Elyse begins to try to find her identity by dealing with problems at home and flirtations during rehearsals.
Gabe is a “skater” dating the most popular girl at school, Sasha. He contemplates breaking up with her, but Sasha is not a girl that anyone wants to make angry.
Gabe and Elyse both fall in love with their hearts, and both characters begin to have their lives spiraling out of control due to their choices.
This novel is fast paced and suspenseful. The ending was shocking and unexpected! I usually am good at predicting endings, but I never saw this one coming! I finished this in two days. Good for a quick thriller!
I definitely recommend this one for a young adult novel!
