Summary:
What can go wrong when three families go on vacation to the south of France for a week? Kate, Rowan, Izzy, and Jennifer have been best friends since college. The women decide to go on a weeklong holiday to celebrate their 40th birthdays. Each family comes full of secrets and baggage regarding their personal lives. This intense dramatic domestic mystery has secret after secret revealed throughout the novel throughout by changing perspectives of the narrators.
My Thoughts:
The book starts out quickly by revealing the first revelation about Kate questioning her husband and finding out a secret he is keeping from her. Many secrets begin to unravel about all of the families and their children. It slows down a bit in the middle, but the plot quickens up again and becomes extremely intense. It is an emotional rollercoaster towards the end and has many unexpected twists.
I received this as an early copy from Netgalley in exchange for a review. This will be released in July 2020. I definitely recommend this for a summer read!
