Book review: In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

Perfect book to read in bed with coffee and your dog

Summary:

Dannie Cohen is a successful lawyer in New York City who has a life plan figured out for her future. Dannie has a magical evening with her boyfriend and falls asleep having an extremely realistic dream that takes place 5 years in the future. In this dream, she is engaged to a different man while living in a different apartment. Dannie can’t seem to erase this realistic memory from her thoughts, but she moves on with the plan for her future. Dannie’s best friend, Bella, is an exact opposite of Dannie’s type A personality. Bella and Dannie’s friendship is explored and evolves in their adult life while they head further into their lives as adults.

My Thoughts:

Now that we have been quarantined for about five weeks, I have read several thrillers and needed a break from thrillers. I read The Dinner Party and loved it, so I thought I would enjoy another book by Rebecca Serle. I definitely was right! I actually liked this book even better than The Dinner Party. The entire time I read the book, I really thought I knew how it was going to end. It actually ends perfect and made me miss my best friend so much! I loved how each character had their own flaws, but I still really had a soft spot for every character in the book. It really is a beautiful story of friendship and will touch your soul.
