Summary:
Ellen O’Farrell has not had much luck with love in her life. Professionally, she is a professional hypnotherapist working out of her home, but personally she still was looking for love. Ellen meets Patrick at the beginning of the novel and is happy with where the relationship is heading. He is a widowed single father who seems to be a great fit for her. Patrick finally tells her that his ex-girlfriend is stalking him and has been for some time. Ellen has no idea but she has already met the stalker and sees her on a regular basis. What comes next is a humorous novel that switches from the perspective of Ellen to her stalker.
My Thoughts:
I can’t believe I never read this! I thought I read all of Liane Moriarty’s books. I really enjoyed this book. She is a master at creating characters that you just fall in love with and connect with. There aren’t many twists at all to this book as her other books. It is an easy to read, predictable chick-lit book. It is a fun and easy love story with funny dialogue and banter between the characters. Normally a situation with a stalker would be a scary situation, but Moriarty keeps the storyline pretty light and airy regarding the situation of the stalker. It is an enjoyable read if you enjoyed Moriarty’s other books, but don’t expect any twists and turns like The Husband’s Secret or Big Little Lies!
