Summary:
Jules, Sylvia, Vincent, and Sam are required to attend a “team building” activity that begins in an elevator. The foursome believes it is an escape room activity. They work in finance in a firm on Wall Street. The novel examines each character’s background specifically throughout separate chapters to let the reader know what happened on the journey to get to this point. The major question that arises is “Where is Sara Hall?” Sara was an employee at their firm that disappeared after leaving their firm. Throughout their “escape room” activity, the reader finds out more and more information about Sara and her experience with the firm.
My Thoughts:
I really liked this book! It was a bit predictable and there are a lot of clues and foreshadowing to let the reader know what is going to happen, but I enjoyed the ride of suspense! It really made me question corporate America and if this is the way corporations are run! The author really kept me on my toes by writing an engrossing storyline that I couldn’t stop reading!
