Book review: Home Before Dark by Riley Sager

Summary:

Maggie Holt lived in Baneberry Hall for a short period of time 25 years ago. After mysterious and terrifying events occurred, the Holt family left abruptly in the middle of the night. Maggie’s father wrote an account of the apparently supernatural occurrences which ended up becoming a bestseller.

After Maggie’s father passes away, Maggie is surprised that he left her Baneberry Hall.

She decides to stay there to restore it and sell it. Locals are not happy she has returned to have the supernatural stories resurface.

Maggie has never believed the accounts of her father. As strange events begin again, Maggie wonders if he was actually telling the truth.

My Thoughts:

This was a spooky thriller I read while away for the weekend at a cabin on Lake Erie.

I have loved all of Riley Sager’s books, and this one was another great thriller.

Pick this up this fall the get in the Halloween spirit!!
