Book Review: The Switch by Beth O’Leary

Leena and Eileen Cotten are both in need of change in their lives! Eileen is stuck in her small Yorkshire village seeing the same neighbors all the time. Leena is in need of an escape from London after working long hours. Leena and Eileen decide to switch places. Leena will live in her grandmother’s home in the village, and Eileen will head to the city!

Leena navigates through the village trying to fit in with the gossipy crowd and help everyone like her grandmother always has.

Eileen adjusts to the hustle and bustle of city life and tries her hand at online dating.

How will these two ladies handle their swap??

My Thoughts:

This was a nice change to my normal thrillers. It was a refreshing and cute read about a family who was trying to triumph over a past tragedy that was affecting their lives more than they realized.

If you are looking for a sweet and heartwarming read, The Switch is exactly what you are looking for. The darkness of this year and all that 2020 entails sometimes calls for a refreshingly cute story. It was exactly what I needed!
