Book review: The Dream House by Jess Ryder

Summary:

Jack and Stella have just moved into Stella’s dream house she purchased with her inheritance. When Lori shows up one day running from an abusive relationship, Stella takes her in much to Jack’s protests.

As the plot unfolds by switching from past to present and alternating narrators, a story from Kay is told about her and her daughter, Abby, who also escaped from an abusive marriage forty years prior.

The stories of Lori, Stella, Kay, and Abby are linked together by Ryder to a satisfying conclusion.

My Thoughts:

Although this was not my favorite Jess Ryder book, it was well done how the woman’s stories come together at the end.

I gave this a 3 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.
