Book Review: The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

Summary:

Alicia is the wife of a wealthy photographer who seems to be living the perfect life. One evening when he gets home, Alicia shoots him five times and then stops speaking.  Alicia becomes a patient at the Grove in seclusion from the public eye.

Theo Faber is a psychotherapist who has a special interest in the murder and the condition of Alicia. He is determined to find out Alicia’s intentions of why she committed the crime. Theo becomes obsessed with the murder and motives regarding Alicia’s crime. He can’t stop searching for answers and the suspense builds and builds.

My Thoughts:

Oh my gosh! This was fantastic! One of the best books of 2019.  I was so shocked at the ending! This was written very well and had me on the edge of my seat the entire novel. The characters were so fantastic and kept me guessing at their every intention.

I gave this 5/5 stars on Goodreads. I had been on the waiting list at the library for this for months, and I was so excited to finally get this one. If you haven’t read this yet, you are totally missing out on a fun and exciting thriller if you are a fan of suspense!
