Book review: After the Wedding by Laura Elliot

Summary:

Christine Lewis has a recurring dream that something horrible happened when she was a flower girl as a child.

Jessica Newman grew up with her father and a woman named Margaret who lived as her mother until they left Margaret one day.

Both women have memories that are unfamiliar.

Their paths cross as Jessica begins working for Christine and her husband. Both women have no idea that they have connected pasts.

My Thoughts:

This book had a good premise but it was rather confusing at times with the alternating narrators and the accounts from past to present. It dragged a bit throughout the middle portion, and I had trouble liking any of the characters.

It was more of a drama than a thriller, so don’t expect a thriller if you read this one.
