Book review: Verity by Colleen Hoover

Summary:

Lowen is an author who has not had much success. She is approached by Jeremy Crawford, who is the husband of a bestselling author. His wife, Verity, was in an accident and cannot finish her series of books. Lowen contemplates her offer and eventually accepts the offer to write Verity’s remaining books.

Lowen heads to stay with the family for a few nights to read Verity’s notes and outlines regarding the earlier books. As she searches through, Lowen finds a secret manuscript of Verity’s innermost thoughts that are very disturbing.

My Thoughts:

Well this book has such a buzz about it for the last year and finally I decided to tackle it.

I don’t even know how to review this except to say that it is extremely disturbing and twisted. It is very graphic and raw. I’ve never read a book as dark and twisted as this book. It’s pretty much as insane as a book can be!

I couldn’t stop reading this book. It had me hooked to find out where the madness was going! I was pretty shocked at the ending and was left with some questions regarding how some events got to the point of the end of the book, but I can’t say much more without giving it away.
