Book review: The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand

Summary:

The Hotel Nantucket was bought by billionaire Xavier Darling and he poured money into the old hotel to renovate it to be the best hotel on Nantucket. His ultimate goal is to receive 5 out of 5 keys from a famous anonymous hotel blogger.

Lizbet was to run the hotel after running another successful Nantucket establishment with her long time boyfriend who cheated on her. Lizbet has a huge feat in front of her to hire all the right people to make this hotel succeed.

Grace is a ghost in The Hotel Nantucket who was murdered after an arson in 1922. Grace is ready to haunt the new hotel and get to know the staff and guests.

My Thoughts:

I am an absolute Elin lover, so she can sell me any book and I will fall in love!

My friend Jaime and I traveled to Pittsburgh in June to get to hear Elin speak about her life and her books. If I didn’t love Elin before this event, I fell in love with her again! She is so down to earth, and I could relate with her as a mother of three children myself who are similar ages. We got to meet her and have her sign our books.

When we were headed home, I realized I forgot my book!! We flew back to the event. The doors were locked, but they let me in. Elin gave me another book and signed it for me and SHE REMEMBERED MY NAME!!!! My heart soared!

Back to The Hotel Nantucket, I just absolutely loved this book! It made me laugh; it made me cry. The characters are so fantastic! I loved Lizbet and Grace the most! I’m usually not one for supernatural occurrences, but it wouldn’t have been the same without Grace and her story!

Of course I gave this a 5/5 stars!

Thank you Elin for always knowing what women want to read and supplying the absolute best summer books!

Thank you to the Penguin Bookshop in Sewickley, Pa to bringing Elin to all of us in the Pittsburgh area!
