School was done in early May, and I was able to get a lot of reading in! I read two amazing books-Mad Mabel and The Girls in the Dark. I also listened and read a few when driving to pick up my daughter from college. There were a few that were just okay, but I managed to get in nine total books!

🌼 The Girls in the Dark by Avery Bishop-identical twin sisters are kidnapped as teens and only one survived-dual timelines unravel the kidnapping and how Megan, the surviving twin, retold the story 20 years later
🌼 Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth-this book is such a heartwarming book! You will fall in love with the relationship between Mabel and Persephone. The dual timelines of Mabel’s past and present is so well done!

🌼 The Fine Art of Lying by Alexandra Andrews- psychological thriller set in the elite art world, where deception and ambition go hand in hand. The twists keep coming as secrets unravel and no one can be trusted! If you like art, there are lots of references to major artists.
🌼Too Close to Home by Seraphina Nova Glass-What begins as neighborhood drama quickly spirals into a suspenseful mystery filled with hidden motives and shocking revelations. Glass delivers compelling characters and plenty of unexpected twists. If you liked Desperate Housewives or other domestic dramas, you would love this!
🌼The Neighbors Are Watching by Aggie Blum Thompson-Another domestic drama where a seemingly perfect neighborhood becomes the setting for suspicion, secrets, and growing paranoia after a shocking event. This slow-burning domestic thriller keeps you guessing about who is telling the truth.

🌼Their Last Days of Summer by Maria Frankland-Vacation drama centered on long-buried secrets, relationships, and the memories that shape us. It has an emotional premise, though the pacing may feel slower than expected.
🌼One Summer in Santorini by Sandy Baker-I read this the week before we went to Greece! This book is set in the stunning backdrop of the Greek islands, this is a light romance about new beginnings, friendship, and taking chances. The beautiful setting is the true star of this feel-good escape. There are other books following that I did not read yet.
🌼Her First Lie by Lucinda Berry-Berry explores family dynamics and psychological tension as a web of lies threatens to unravel everything. It’s an intriguing premise with plenty of emotional conflict and suspense. Lots of trigger warnings regarding child abuse and trauma
🌼Five Liars by DL Baker-Five friends are at a bachelor-bachelorette party in the Caribbean and are hiding dangerous secrets, and as the truth begins to surface, the stakes grow higher for everyone involved. This mystery offers plenty of suspects and twists, even if it didn’t completely win me over.
