Book review: The Ever After by Sarah Pekkanen

I chose this novel after reading The Opposite of Me, The Perfect Neighbors, and The Wife Between Us also by Sarah Pekkanen. It examines Josie and Frank Moore’s marriage by starting out with a bang when Josie sees a text from Frank’s mistress on his phone.

The novel is very raw regarding the emotions Josie goes through dealing with Frank’s infidelity. Maybe it was the content just being so melancholy, but I wasn’t into the book. It was just too depressing…………

I really loved the other three books I read by this author. Maybe it was the fact that I read this over a few sunny days in the summer, when I was hoping to read something a little more suspenseful or a little more upbeat. I won’t give up hope though; she is a very talented writer!
