Summary:
What happens after friends in college move onto the “real world” after graduation? This novel explores three best friends and their life from college to adulthood. Evvie, Maggie, and Topher were the best of friends in college and swore it would never change. The secrets that were kept many years ago creep back up into their lives. Evvie became a supermodel whose luck with men was poor, especially when she has an affair with a married man. Topher became a popular actor but had many internal struggles he had trouble getting past. Maggie married her college love, but his struggles with alcohol and her struggles with infertility ultimately tarnished their marriage.
My Thoughts:
I’ve always enjoyed Jane Green books since I was in my 20s. I always liked the easiness of her plot and the characterization of her writing. I enjoyed how all three characters were developed. I felt as if there was a large build up to the end which was disappointing a bit by how it ended since it built up and basically ended soon after. I would recommend this if you are looking for an easy vacation or beach read about friends.
