Book Review: The Stranger Inside by Laura Benedict

Summary:

Kimber Hannon arrives home from a weekend trip to find that her front door lock has been changed and her key will not work. There is a stranger living in her house. When the police arrive, he informs her quietly that he saw what she did. Kimber begins to investigate on her own how this stranger is linked to her personal life. Kimber’s deepest secrets begin to unravel as she has to lean on her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel, as he gives her legal advice as her lawyer. She stays with her best friend, Diana, who Kimber has not been truthful to. Her problems at work begin to mount. Kimber’s life is spinning out of control, and she needs to know why this man is living in her home.

My Thoughts:

This was a really suspenseful and tension filled book that I was excited to read. Kimber is so hard to like as a protagonist. She just made some really poor decisions and doesn’t seem to care. She doesn’t have much remorse for her past mistakes at all. It was hard to sympathize with her when I found out her past mistakes. It was very suspenseful though and moved quickly. I gave this a 3.5/5 on Goodreads.
