Summary:
After a major loss in Sophie’s life, she heads to visit her childhood friend at an isolated beach house. Sophie and Caroline were inseparable as children, but they only stayed in contact through email recently.
Caroline has changed very much and now Sophie wonders what is going on in her personal life. Caroline’s young daughter has also stopped speaking. What is going on in their household that has caused all these changes?!
My Thoughts:
I hadn’t heard much about this book or read any of the other books by Jill Childs, but I was pleasantly surprised at this book! The perspectives go back and forth from past to present and vary from Sophie and Caroline.
I definitely was shocked at the very end. It was slow to start but really picked up and had me hooked until the very end!
